Hello Agile Maps!

With more companies moving towards Work-From-Home policies, due to COVID-19 pandemic, it seems that staying aligned while working remote has been more important than ever.

Team O’clock is focusing on empowering continuous improvement and alignment to agile methodologies, through structured standups, retrospectives and grooming sessions, however there was always a feeling in our team that something was missing in the whole recipe.

Today, we are so excited to announce our whole new product, Agile Maps, a way to align your teams and your company around Agile methodologies in an effort to help your Agile transformation, get you a step closer to be able to answer the question “how are we doing?”

In a nutshell, Agile Maps is a digital replacement of a whiteboard, where a team can collaborate and align around the lifecycle of Agile development, such as planning your work, delivering value, inspecting the outcome and continuously improving.

Agile Maps for Teams

Every team in Team O’clock will gain access to an Agile Map where their can map their activities and processes around four core Agile values of their preference.

On each area, team members can add widgets such a retrospective action items, daily standup notes, KPIs, Aha-moments, objectives etc. and monitor their progress on their Agile transformation.

Maps are real-time and many users can collaborate simultanesouly. Also, daily snapshots can help teams travel back in time and observe their Agile transformation as it goes.

The four quadrants are customizable and teams can adjust their activities according to their needs, such as:

• Modern Agile

• Heart of Agile

• PDCA

Company Agile Map

On the top level, you can find the company Agile Map. Teams can use it mark dependencies around them that block decision making, taking things slow.

In Agile, self-organization, trust and self management is key in order to produce results faster and this tool can help identify and work around these bottlenecks.

Personal Agile Map

Each Team O’clock user has access to a personal Agile Map, where they can experiment and keep it for personal use, as well as aggregate information across their involvement in a company level.

For example, adding a retrospective action items widget will collect action items from all teams the user is member in.

How this affects existing users

We want Agile Maps to be the heart of Team O’clock and act as the headquarters of all the features we currently offer and will offer in the future.

We will gradually start performing some changes around the product in order to keep the separation of concerns into the following core domains:

• Agile Maps

• Meetings (standups, retrospectives etc)

• Admin pages (team, user and subscription management)

• Integrations (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira Cloud etc)

This is what is changing:

• Team action items will be removed from the team’s page in favour of a Retrospective action items widget.

• Sentiment analysis will be removed from the team’s page in favour of a Retrospective sentiment analysis widget.

• Editing of retrospective action items in timeline will be replaced with editing functionality in Retrospective action items widget in Agile Maps.

• My notes will be removed in favour of a Personal notes widget available in Personal Agile Maps.

• Analytics page will sunset and respective Agile Maps widgets will be added based on user interest.

• Dashboard will be updated with a new design.
